- Fifteen years ago, we started a family business named Sisters and Mom Too. We participate in craft shows around the US showing off our applique and embroidered sweatshirts, cardigans, denims, quilted denim coats and matching tees. Fall is our busiest time. My two sisters, parents and I participate in 3 to 5 shows every weekend. About 4 years ago, I left the Iowa Attorney General's office after working there for almost 10 years to take over the family business full time. Both of my sisters went back to work as full time employees to earn steady pay checks, thus leaving little time to help with our business. My mom (and dad, even though he is not listed on the business name!) are still very active and important in our business. Unfortunately, they are getting ready to retire soon. Since we aren't really "Sisters and Mom Too" I decided to change our business name to "threads". I will still be providing quality applique/embroidered sweatshirts, hoodies, cardigans, denim shirts, denim quilted coats and matching t-shirts. I will continue participating in craft shows however, I am interested in doing more logos and school items. Let me know if I can give you a quote!
